Photographs are Stamped and Numbered with the Copyright, Artist and Model's Names. Catalogue 1 and Catalogue 3 are circa 1962 and 1963. Booklets are complete, #1 is 42 pages and and #3 is 20 pages of images of Ferrero’s popular models and order forms and instructions in French. Booklet models including Rod Ferrero - Mister Europe 1961, Francois Rossi - Mr. France 1958 and Umbrerto Devetak - Mr. Italy 1961. For legal reasons photos in the catalogues have posing straps drawn on however, actual photographs in this series are full nudes. The work offered for sale here is an original vintage silver gelatin print hand created by Halsman in 1944 and exhibited at the International Center for Photography. Philippe Halsman was at one point considered the best photo-portraitist in France. He had an incessant interest in faces: “Every face I see seems to hide—and sometimes fleetingly reveal—the mystery of another human being.” Halsman’s photographs of politicians, celebrities, and intellectuals were featured widely in magazines like LIFE and Vogue. His more famous subjects included the likes of Marc Chagall, Le Corbusier, Audrey Hepburn, and Albert Einstein. He also had a 37-year collaboration with Salvador Dalí, which resulted in several famous surrealist series including the “Dalí’s Mustache” portraits...

This gorgeous artwork on paper was created initially with a screen print base of the model, then Rosie hand finishes the work with a unique splash and painted composition. Some call them Unique Prints. The base image is only used 12 times and this is the AP Rosie Emerson, born in 1981, is a contemporary artist working almost exclusively on representing the female form. Emerson’s figures draw reference from archetypes old and new, from Artemis to the modern day super model, each solitary figure, an allegory of her own fantasy. Interested in surface, the interplay between photography and painting. Emerson’s works are playful constructs; Photography is used, not as a device for capturing reality but for creating romanticised optical illusions.
