Mechanical Art

This is a very interesting mechanical case, created in Birmingham England during the art deco period at the silversmith workshop of Deykin & Harrison, back in the late 1930.

Known as Ben-Day dots, this patterning became a signature element of his style, which incorporated the look of mechanical reproduction into the fine-art world of painting.
