A rustically elegant country French Provincial farm house harvest work table with warm rich patina and refined Rococo styling. circa 1750
Hand-crafted in the mid-18th century, most likely originating in the former Provence / Nice / Alps region of the South of France, a beautiful area near the Italian border and Mediterranean sea. Hand carved of solid fruitwood, executed in period Louis XV taste (1715-1774) with sophisticated Rocaille elements.
Featuring a long narrow rectangular five plank boarded top with pleated end, attractive dark rustic patina and desirable overhang; above a simple tall apron with curvacious hand sculpted scalloped edge, rising on elegant cabriole legs.
