Easy chair by designed by Alfred Christensen in the early 1950s and manufactured by Slagelse Møbelværk. This stunning chair has aged beautifully and the original velvet upholstery and wood finish has the perfect patina. Clean and pure lines define this armchair that are coupled with expert craftsmanship. Adopting the trend of abandoning ornamentation to benefit the form, Christensen maintained the beauty and warmth inherent to traditional Danish cabinetmaking. In consequence, this armchair has a beautiful, warm look with rounded edges and an open look. The only ornamentation is the piping cord that runs along the edges of the body. Generous proportions and luxurious finishes set this fabulous pair of Brazilian Modernist lounge chairs apart from the rest. The frames are crafted from gorgeous solid rosewood, with interesting sculptural chamfering at the legs. The tufted cushions are finished in beautiful caramel-colored leather and fastened by fringed straps which give just the right amount of Bohemian flair.
