Abraham Girardet Art
Abraham Girardet was a Swiss artist and engraver. He was born in a small village in Switzerland and came from an artist's family. He was the brother of the engraver Charles Samuel Girardet (1780–1863). When he moved to Paris, Girardet became one of the pupils of Benjamin-Alphonse Nicolet. During the French Revolution, he participated in the realization of the Collection complète des Tableaux historiques de la Révolution française, composée de cent treize numéros and en trois volumes. The collection was realized by several artists, such as Jean-Honoré Fragonard and Claude-Nicolas Malapeau.
