Adriana Naveh Art

b. 1963
Adrianna was born in 1963 in Mendoza, Argentina. She has lived in Jerusalem, the city of lights, with her children for 30 years. The artist studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Cuyo in Argentina and at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv, and with many highly respected artists in Israel. Adrianna teaches art classes in her studio in Jerusalem. In recent years, her main focus has been working with painting on aluminum lacquers. Her main theme is the urban landscape. The subject of place, through a long and determined introspection of the artist, has become her main focus. She expresses herself through her search for place and belonging. The world of abstract painting and architecture meet in these paintings. The technique of working with cold and modern aluminum in conjunction with bright colors and free and abstract brushstrokes, creates a personal world for the artist.

Pleased to Meet You Again
Located in North Adams, MA
Silkscreen in 9 colors on 320 gram Coventry Rag Dimensions: 29" x 29" Signed by the Artists in pencil An edition of 75 John “CRASH” Matos and Eric Orr met for the first time as high school students. Although the exact location is unclear, both agree that it would have been at either Fashion Moda or the Writers’ Bench at 149th Street and Grand Concourse. Founded by Stefan Eins in 1978, Fashion Moda began as a “cultural concept” whose principles revolved around the fact that art can be made by anyone, anywhere and art should be accessible to anyone, anywhere. Located in the South Bronx, Fashion Moda embraced new talent and encouraged creative production across all mediums. The gallery has been credited as a major force behind the recognition of graffiti writing as an art form and it played a pivotal role in a community where Hip Hop was rapidly emerging. CRASH was only 19 years old when he curated “Graffiti Art Success for America” at Fashion Moda and his varied experiences at the gallery would later inspire his founding of WALLWORKS. The 149th Street Writers’ Bench, located at the back of the uptown...

Untitled, 1975
By Claudia Sisemore
Located in Salt Lake City, UT
"Untitled, 1975" by Claudia Sisemore, acylic on canvas, 41.5 x 50 inches, $4,800. "I have a vague idea of what I am going to paint. I read that many artists are inspired by an idea before they begin their work and plan their approach and process based on that idea or muse. Others become inspired after they have begun working and watching colors, shapes and designs form. I basically belong the second group. Usually, after painting begins in a loose, free manner, I become excited by certain colors and patterns and continue from there." -Claudia Sisemore -- Caudia Sisemore says she was teaching English when artist David Chaplin (an equally popular and influential teacher) was at Weber and initially got her into landscape painting. “Then he took me to a show at the Art Barn and Lee [Deffebach] was showing there [with Don Olsen...
