A fine vintage 18 karat yellow gold brooch in the form of a poodle; part of our vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This fine 18k yellow gold brooch has been realistically modelled in the form of a poodle. The poodle is further embellished with inset ruby eyes and a broad collar with link chain. The poodle is secured to the reverse with a bar pin and safety catch. The hallmarks struck to the underside of the poodle's body include the 18k fineness mark (18) (.750) and the London Import Hallmarks. Exceptional and highly collectible 1980s Bulgari earrings of bombe design, each centering on a vivid-red Burma ruby (approximately 2.5 carats each) and showcasing another 6 carats of very fine white diamonds, all set in 18 karat yellow gold. Two large oval rubies are of richly-saturated color and certified by GIA and AGL gem labs as Burma geographic origin. - Featuring approximately 6 carats of fine white (approximately F to G color, VVS to VS clarity) marquise, tapered-baguette and round diamonds - Showcasing 2 large oval rubies of approximately 2.5 carats each and a number of smaller buff-top rubies. Both large oval rubies are certified by GIA as Burma geographic origin and of vivid richly saturated color - These earrings showcase iconic Bulgari 1980s bombe design that is a true collector's item and rare to come by - Clip-on earrings measuring 1 inch (2.5cm) in length and width and in excellent condition - Signed Bvlgari with a stamp for 18 karat gold - These earrings pair beautifully with Cartier ruby and diamond necklace from the same 1980s period (see additional photos) which is a separate listing in our inventory Detailed design description: Central oval rubies are encircled by alternating bands of smaller diamonds and rubies creating an eye-catching color contrast that Bulgari is celebrated for.
