Ariel McClearin Art

American
I was born in Rock Falls, Illinois where I lived until I was fourteen. I began living in Germany in high school and, during that time, was able to travel across Europe: Italy, France, England, Belgium, The Netherlands, Mallorca, and Switzerland. I am at my heart a performance artist and spent my adolescence participating in musicals ranging from “Into the Woods” to “Guys and Dolls.” Since leaving the performing arts after high school to pursue my business degree, I have been exploring with fashion design and have aspirations to start my own fashion line. Designers like Kate Spade and Minju Kim have inspired both my fashion – and my paintings – with their unique sense of patterns and color composition. I maintain a love of dance and spend time at the ballet watching shows such as “Swan Lake” and “Giselle.” I started painting as a creative outlet during quarantine this year. I wanted to capture a range of emotions that I was unable to express in other creative outlets. I like abstraction and pattern for its ability to reflect emotion as well as for how it allows for open-ended interpretations. I draw inspiration from artists like Kindah Khalidy who uses bold colors and shapes in her work, as well as the Abstract Expressionist Adolph Gottlieb and his use of glyphs and symbols to suggest meaning. I would love to merge my painting practice and love of fashion by exploring textile printing and using the same loud colors to draw in my audience. Up until this point I have only created and shown my art to close friends but am excited to branch out to a wider audience.

Part of the artist’s ‘The Chaos of My Mind’ series, Ariel McClearin’s ‘Dreaming while Sunbathing at the Beach’ is an original signed acrylic painting on canvas board. The painting’s rich palette coupled with the contrasting dynamism of hard and soft geometric shapes evokes the dreamlike state of sunbathing referenced in the title. A series of striped angles recalls the patterned designs of beach towels, while a flock of v-shaped birds takes flight in the outline of a human in the lower right corner, possibly the prone figure of the sunbather themselves. acrylic painting on canvas board 14 x 11 inches Signed and dated in ink on reverse Framed in a modern profile silver-finish float moulding ARTIST STATEMENT: I was born in Rock Falls, Illinois where I lived until I was fourteen. Ballet Dancer with Umbrella Original Painting Abstract Figure Dance Artwork

By Marina Fisher

Located in Zofingen, AG

Ballet Dancer with Umbrella – Original Abstract Figure Painting, Contemporary Dance Art, Fluid Acrylic & Oil on Canvas This original abstract figurative painting presents a poetic vision of a ballet dancer suspended in a moment of delicate balance, holding an umbrella as if floating between reality and imagination. The central white silhouette appears weightless, gracefully extending through space, while the umbrella adds a surreal narrative element—suggesting protection, lightness, or even a quiet escape into an inner world. Surrounding the figure is a mesmerizing fluid art composition, where organic cellular patterns unfold like microscopic landscapes or blooming structures. Soft greys, muted violets, and deep tones are interwoven with luminous yellow accents, creating a sense of depth and subtle movement. The background feels alive, almost breathing, as if the dancer is emerging from or dissolving into this abstract environment. Executed in mixed media—fluid acrylic and oil on canvas—the artwork combines the unpredictability of pouring techniques with refined artistic control. The intricate textures and layered pigments create a unique visual complexity, characteristic of contemporary abstract painting and modern fluid art. Each detail is unrepeatable, reinforcing the exclusivity of the piece. This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, not a print or reproduction, making it especially appealing to collectors of contemporary art, abstract figurative painting, dance-inspired compositions, and unique mixed media works. It works beautifully in modern, minimalist, or gallery-style interiors, where it can serve as a focal point with both visual and conceptual depth. Size: 50 × 40 × 1.5 cm (20 × 16 × 0.6 inches) Medium: Mixed media – fluid acrylic and oil on canvas Year: 2019 Type: One-of-a-kind original painting Condition: Excellent Signature: Signed by the artist Framing: Unframed (ready for custom framing) The painting is sold unframed. The buyer is responsible for selecting and arranging a suitable frame according to personal taste and interior design preferences. A clean contemporary or floating frame is recommended to preserve the airy composition and emphasize the contrast between the light figure and the richly textured background. Ballet Dancer Silhouette Original Painting Abstract Figure Dance Art Contemporar

By Marina Fisher

Ballet Dancer Silhouette – Original Abstract Figure Painting, Contemporary Dance Art, Fluid Acrylic & Oil on Canvas This original abstract figurative painting captures the fleeting grace of a ballet dancer suspended in motion. A luminous white silhouette emerges from a complex, fluid background, evoking the elegance and discipline of classical dance while dissolving the figure into an expressive, almost dreamlike atmosphere. The dancer appears weightless, as if moving through space rather than standing within it—blurring the boundary between body, energy, and environment. The composition is built through a fluid art technique, where organic cellular patterns and layered pigments create a rich, evolving surface. Deep burgundy, soft pinks, muted violets, and dark contrasting tones flow together, forming a dynamic backdrop that suggests movement, emotion, and rhythm. The central figure, rendered in light, acts as a visual anchor—symbolizing purity, focus, and the ephemeral nature of performance. Executed in mixed media—fluid acrylic and oil on canvas—the painting combines the spontaneity of pouring techniques with controlled artistic intervention. The result is a textured yet smooth visual field, where fine details and natural transitions between colors enhance the depth and complexity of the work. This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, not a print or reproduction, ideal for collectors of contemporary abstract art, figurative painting, dance-inspired art, and modern wall decor. It fits seamlessly into contemporary, minimalist, or gallery-style interiors, adding both emotional resonance and visual sophistication. Size: 40 × 50 × 1.5 cm (16 × 20 × 0.6 inches) Medium: Mixed media – fluid acrylic and oil on canvas Year: 2019 Type: One-of-a-kind original painting Condition: Excellent Signature: Signed by the artist Framing: Unframed (ready for custom framing) The artwork is sold unframed. Located in Milwaukee, WI

Part of the artist’s ‘The Chaos of My Mind’ series, Ariel McClearin’s ‘Campfire Stories’ is an original signed acrylic painting on canvas board. Combining the richly-saturated hues of Pop Art with the organic movement of Abstract Expressionism, the painting weaves a cyclical narrative of seasonal change—from the gentle snow flurries of late winter, to the interplay of light and moisture in the formation of a rainbow during spring and summer, and finally the warmth of the billowing campfire in the center of the painting, evocative of the approaching autumn. Surrounding the campfire are a number of embellished alphabetical characters—a vaporous ‘v,’ an elongated capital ‘e’ and ‘b,’ an asterisk in bloom—possibly hinting at the language used to convey the stories alluded to in the title. Acrylic painting on canvas board 20 x 16 inches Signed and dated in ink on reverse Framed in a modern profile silver-finish float moulding ARTIST STATEMENT: I was born in Rock Falls, Illinois where I lived until I was fourteen. Part of the artist’s ‘The Chaos of My Mind’ series, Ariel McClearin’s ‘Pizza Party at the Beach’ is an original signed acrylic painting on canvas board. As a red beach umbrella fans out from the center of the painting, the party begins. Dashes surround undulating lines to evoke the movement of dance, as multicolored lights cast everything in new and unfamiliar hues—namely a slice of pizza in the lower right corner, now rendered pink and dark blue. A sliver of a face can be seen in the opposite corner; however, it appears to be moving out of frame rather than drawing near, suggesting the constant movement of the party and the party-goers. Located in Milwaukee, WI

Part of the artist’s ‘The Chaos of My Mind’ series, Ariel McClearin’s ‘Organic Banana Smoothie’ is an original signed acrylic painting on canvas. In this painting, the artist playfully employs an array of colors to represent the complex interplay of flavors in the creation of the titular smoothie. Ice cascades from the upper left corner into a green funnel, where below the various ingredients—a banana, blueberries, perhaps a slice of orange—are blended together. Using dashes and furrowed lines to visualize the motion of blending, the process yields a field of multicolored dots that anticipate the commingling of the many flavors and colors that make up the smoothie.
