Located in London, GB

"Composizione 40100 #02" (In crescendo), 2019, glazed earthenware, measures: H 47 x 30 x 30cm Andrea Salvatori (Italy, 1975) is an internationally renowned visual artist working with the ceramic medium to realize often ironic and witty sculptures, sometimes involving a diverse selection of found objects, such as Murano glass vases, Meissen Porcelain miniatures or Ginori period ceramics sourced in flea markets around Europe. Salvatori’s works often begin with these items and proceed by the addition of elements masterfully created by the artist, generating an unexpected semantic shift. The result is unique, encompassing pop culture and kitsch aesthetics: a witty and effective way to turn reality upside-down and at the same time a powerful combination of exquisite craftsmanship and genuine irony. Andrea Salvatori was born on 3 of March 1975 in Faenza (Ra), Italy; he has graduated at the Istituto d’arte for Ceramic in Faenza in 1995, and he then graduated with a Degree in Sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Bologna in 2000. During his studies, Andrea learned the secrets of ceramics from the creative duo Bertozzi & Casoni having worked as an apprentice in their studio for many years at the same way as during Renaissance artists learned their practice with their Masters. Since 1997 he had several individual and collective exhibitions. In 2009 he won the first prize at the 56th edition of the prestigious Premio Faenza, the International Contest of Contemporary Art Ceramics, for which he classified second in the prior edition. In 2011 he classified second at the Sidney Myer Fund Australian Ceramic...

Not only are the substances an essential element to create an artwork but they are also an important tool that enables us to read its identity, history, the characteristics of the time, and associated stories. The Heritage-Rainbow Series maintains its original form that has been embraced for nearly one century, and at the same time, creates new life and values by introducing an additional substance (mother of pearl) which then continues its history. The array of colors that change every moment, centered on the feldspar, can deliver us the enthusiasm of the artists at the time they were formed. -Modernized Korean Antique...

The folding screen, with a long history that stretches over 1,000 years from the Three Kingdoms of Korea, is now considered to be a space divider that serves various functions including the presentation of spaces and decorative characteristics, thus moving beyond its original definition, which was to ward off the wind similar to fences and walls. The picture of this folding screen is embroidered with a phoenix, which is an integral part of traditional auspicious patterns, and colorful foliage patterns. The different types and colors of mother of pearl also convey a sense of beauty fully realized through such delicate craftsmanship. Contemporary Design Rose Pink Peacock Tall Cabinet with Gold Metal by Arijian

By Arijian

Located in Namyangju-si, KR

The peacock collection is truly the summit of mother-of-pearl art that fully expresses the exquisite rainbow shimmering of the nacre. The use of different types of mother of pearl, which are harvested from natural sources such as abalones and clams, maximizes the iridescence while at the same time creating depth and perspective. The collection’s highly elaborate motifs are created through the employment of a variety of sophisticated techniques in mother of pearl art, including coloring and carving, and some of the mother of pearl was sliced as thinly as a thread. Since the old days, peacocks have been admired for their elegance and glorious feathers in Korea. They symbolize “the beauty of heaven,” “wisdom,” and are said to possess nine kinds of virtues. Thus, people with many talents have often been compared to peacocks. 1 wood shelf included. Contemporary Design Rose Pink Peacock...
