Brad Kahlhamer is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, sculpture, performance, and music, often centered around what he describes as the “third place”—a conceptual and emotional space where contrasting personal histories converge. Working through a neo-expressionist visual language, Kahlhamer combines references to twentieth-century abstraction, particularly German Expressionism, with a deeply personal symbolic vocabulary shaped by questions of identity, displacement, and cultural memory.
