Aurelio Teno Wall Decorations
Aurelio Teno was a famous sculptor from Cordoba, Spain. He was a multifaceted artist who worked in many different mediums. He started his long career at the young age of eight years. He began as an apprentice to the sculptor Amadeo Ruiz Olmos and then moved to his workshop specializing in silver before studying painting and drawing at the School of Arts & Crafts in Cordoba. He has a large important sculpture at the NE corner of the Kennedy Center in Washington DC called Don Quixote. This was his life work. It was a gift from Spain presented for the Bicentennial of the United States and was presented back then by King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofía on June 3rd, 1976.
