Joan Beltran Bofill (Badalona, June 17, 1934 - Pollença, April 14, 2009) was a figurative painter with noisy connotations.
He studied at the Sant Jordi Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts and at the Llotja school in Barcelona. As a young man he worked for RBA in the El Molino collection, illustrating, among others, works by Agatha Christie. His first contact with the island of Mallorca was when he joined the ranks in Pollença. That light and landscape provided him with idyllic conditions that he masterfully reflected in his works. He exhibited at the Wally Findlay Galleries International Galleries (Paris, New York, Chicago, Palm Beach). From 1960 to 1973 he left painting in the background. In 1984 he published the book "Beltran Bofill". Until the last few days, he continued to search for the themes that were his source of inspiration in the light and landscape of Pollença.to
