Bren Bauer is an artist, designer and photographer living and working in New York City. She began her career in San Francisco. Her themes were primarily abstract, figurative and culinary. The palettes were vibrant colors of reds, oranges and blues. Bauer enjoyed early success in commissioned work. She primarily works in abstract themes in a variety of mediums. In her expressive paintings, one can find juxtapositions of form and color, lyrical and imaginative themes, and interlocking planes. Throughout her work, Bauer demonstrates strong, balanced and lyrical compositions. Inspiration comes from many places and manifests itself into her work in the forms of nature, flora and fauna, typography, lines, geometric shapes and the female form. Her figurative paintings of women hint at self-portraiture and are self-reflective. Bauer’s paintings reside in private collections and luxury hotels including New York City’s Carlyle Hotel and the Grand Hotel Europe in St. Petersburg, Russia.
