Carlo Rivalta was an Italian painter and sculptor known for his portraits characterized by a strong realistic connotation. He exhibited at the Venice Biennale. Rivalta became the Honorary Academician of the Florence Academy of Art 1913. He was a teacher of sculpture and later became the director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence.
