Contemporary American furniture maker and artist Eric Slayton's console is made of weathered Corten steel plates. Each having the qualities and variations Slayton searches for, they are welded together resulting in a beautiful example of wabi-sabi. Steel and its use in architectural applications has always generated an emotional response for the artist, so simply stated it became his pallet.
