This vintage gleaming midcentury sterling silver flatware service is by the Mexican designer Celsa. The pattern, Avanti, has an impressive ultra-modern look that became very popular in New York after its production, circa 1955. Each piece of flatware features a solid geometric pattern accenting each handle. The service for twelve is displayed in a mahogany case that has a lower drawer filled with extra serving utensils. The service includes twelve each of steak knives, soup spoons, dinner forks, desert spoons, coffee spoons, salad forks, dessert spoons, luncheon forks, luncheon spoons, crab/fish forks, butter knives. There are three large serving spoons, large serving forks, cold meat forks, ice tea spoons.
