Wonderful Art Deco 950 silver coffee and tea set. Made by Ernest Prost in Paris, circa 1930. This set comprises coffeepot, teapot, creamer, and sugar. Faceted bodies. Covers same with stained-wood block finials on mount; pot covers hinged. Pots and creamer have silver-mounted stained-wood bracket handles. Sugar has horizontal silver and stained-wood tab handles at ends; also, three graduated triangles applied to sides. Layered geometry that suggests the influence of Cubist collage. Fully marked including Minerva head and maker’s stamp. Dimensions: Coffeepot: H 6 1/2 x W 9 x D 3 3/8 in. Teapot: H 5 7/8 x W 9 3/8 x D 3 3/4 in. Creamer: H 3 3/4 x W 5 1/2 x D 2 1/4 in. Sugar: H 4 3/4 x W 6 7/8 x D 3 3/8 in. Total gross weight: 85 troy ounces.
