Da A
Da A is a furniture company that uses high-tech industrial methods in the creation of its collections. Simply put, it is where the heavy-duty mechanical industry meets creative furniture design. Its unique finishing techniques further elevate each piece to a new height through natural materials such as minerals, vegetable compounds and mineral salts.
Co-founder and CEO Bruna Taurino founded Da A in 2014 in Puglia, Italy. Its name means “from - to” in Italian, encapsulating how the company transforms metal through contemporary designs for both interiors and exteriors. Its impressive list of designer collaborations includes Angeletti Ruzza, Bartoli Design, Ce Studio, Lorenzo Damiani, Luca Casini, Marco Romanelli, Marta Laudani and Stefano Ragazzo.
Much of Da A’s furniture production involves industrial processes. Folded and laser-cut sheet metal molds — usually made for agricultural equipment — are used in the making of its Benna modular furniture collection. The Urushi table collection employs metal welding for its multiple thin legs intersecting at 90-degree angles that create a captivating but very stable design.
Da A exhibited at the Milan Furniture Fair in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022. The Archiproducts Milan Design Awards honored the firm in 2017. The company continues to innovate while always being mindful of the environmental impact of its work, ensuring that it maintains a sustainable focus on its processes at all times.
