An outstanding pair of Dutch Delft Blue and White chargers made by De Porceleyne Lampetkan, circa 1780. The entire surface of the charger is filled with designs inspired by Chinese porcelains from the Wanli Period. The central scene shows a crane standing in water surrounded by flowers and a pair of butterflies (in Chinese tradition a crane is a symbol of long life). The double borders show peacock feathers feathers and flowers in panels. The rims are scalloped.
