A truly beautiful and elegant gold multi strand necklace by French designer Dominique Aurientis from the 1980s. There are fourteen strands made up of small quarter of an inch size gold textured knot links. The knots are made of two flat rings. One with a twist rope design and the second with a ribbed line design that are linked together and in turn threaded onto an oval wire link creating each stand. All of the strands are connected in three bunches at the openwork clasp with push pin closure. On the back of one side of the claps is the Dominique Aurientis signature round plaque inscribed with Dominique along the top, Paris in the middle and Aurientis along the bottom. Additionally, the necklace has two 1.25 inch wide pierced rings with a small flower design that freely move along the fourteen stands and settle in front when worn. The necklace has a wearable length of 20.25 inches in length or shorter if worn in a twisted torsade manner. Photos show both styles the necklace may be worn. The gold plate is a rich deep color and in excellent condition. The necklace looks barely worn.
