Presented is a stunning and impressive seashell motif necklace by famous and important French designer Dominique Aurientis. It features 5.25 inch wide curved center piece of large and small multiple scallop shells applied to wire waves. Suspended from the bottom are five large pear shape and gold topped faux pearls. The entire bib front is 3 inches high. Attached to the bib are two wheat link chains of smooth and textured woven links and .25 of an inch in diameter. The necklace has a large twist ring and bar toggle clasp. The necklace has a wearable length of 17.5 inches. The gold is a rich yellow 18K gold plate.
Dominique Aurientis is a French fashion designer who graduated from the Sorbonne. She started her career working at Dior and then moved on to fashion houses Chanel, Lanvin, Ferragamo, Celine, Givenchy and Emilio Pucci. In 1986 she went out on her own and opened her own her accessories and fashion brand Dominique Aurientis that gained immediate international attention and wide media coverage. Dominique Aurientis jewelry designs are unique, innovative and rooted with a classical sensibility often incorporating elements of nature. Her pieces were sold by the better stores of Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Harrods to name a few.
