This incredibly rare pair of antique candlesticks, comprised of beautifully polished agate stone mounted in gilded silver, was crafted by Edward Farrell, one of the finest craftsmen working in the Rococo Revival style. A fine and impressive, pair of antique George VI English sterling silver candlesticks; part of our ornamental silverware collection. These impressive antique 1930s English sterling silver candlesticks have a plain subtly tapering columnar form. The impressive Corinthian capital of each retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit sconce ornamented with embossed bead decoration to the rim. The subtly tapering panelled columns are supported by a circular boss to a square swept foot. The base of each candlestick is embellished with a band of embossed floral rosette and bud garlands, flanked with bead decorated borders. Both candlesticks have weighted bases and are fitted with green baize to the underside. An exceptional, fine and impressive set of four of antique George V English sterling silver piano candlesticks; an addition to our antique silverware collection. These exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver piano candlesticks have a cylindrical form onto a square spreading base. The Corinthian capital of each retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit sconce, ornamented with an embossed bead decorated border to the rim. The capitals are supported by a classic column, encircled with vertical fluted decoration. The lower portion of each column features a plain rounded knop to a spreading square base. The surface of the bases are each ornamented with embossed scrolling leaf and stylised bud swag designs. The rims are encompassed with bead decoration above further fluted designs, reflecting that of the column.
