Generously proportioned, the chair features a distinctive wing-shaped backrest that offers both exceptional comfort and an enveloping, supportive feel. Important and rare pair of wingback armchairs designed by Eva Koppel in 1947 and manufactured at Slagelse Møbelværk, Denmark. Made from dark stained beech and upholstered in White "Savak" Wool. Eva Koppel was, along with Nanna Ditzel, one of the most prominent female designers in the Danish Modern movement in the mid 20th century. In the late 1930s she studied under Alvar Aalto and together with her husband Niels Koppel she was responsible for several famous buildings in Copenhagen.
