Elmer Fredrick Ekeroth studied at the Vesper George School of Art in Boston and the School of Practical Art (now known as Art Institute of Boston) in Boston. He was a founding member and the first President of the Pacific Grove Art Association in 1967. Ekeroth also served as one of the first Board of Directors for the Oakland Art Association. He exhibited his works at the Oakland Art Association, Alameda County Fair, Monterey County Fair, Pacific Grove Art Association, Pacific Grove Art Center, Central Coast Art Association and many other shows on the Monterey Peninsula.
