Eva Klasson Art

b. 1947

Eva Klasson was born in the rural outskirts of Borås, Sweden  in 1947, and began to dream of a career in photography at an early age. She found work as an assistant for various photographers and learned the fundamentals of the craft. After a while, she was thought to be skilled enough to apply to the most prestigious school for all those who dreamed of working as photographers, Fotoskolan in Stockholm, which was founded by Christer Strömholm and Tor-Ivan Odulf. After leaving the school in a hurry, she ended up in Gothenburg, at the Hasselblad factory, where she developed the pictures from the moon.

'Sombras Pintadas' Contemporary Photo Silhouette Shadows Spanish monochrome
By Sophia Milligan
Located in Penzance, GB
'Sombras Pintadas' Limited edition original photograph, hand signed and numbered, unframed _________________ Shadows painted on the finca wall: low luminous December light casting soft silhouettes through the aperture of the Eucalyptus leaves. Sophia's poetic photographs are an exploration of the balance in all things: in the sensual interplay of light and shadow; in wild raw energy and serene stillness; in the enduring and the effervescent. They are a contemplation of the awareness that everything in existence is temporary, they speak of the ephemeral nature of all things. Moments, feelings, experiences cherished and appreciated in their impermanence, for that is where the beauty comes from. 'I work with time, and the immeasurable spaces of experience within... tangible traces, evidence left behind, records; process in action, stilled'. Hand signed, titled and numbered to the lower right corner on an approximately 1 inch white border. Archival Print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® paper, one of the most beautiful and high quality art papers available. The luxurious matt finish provides a reflection free image that is rich in detail, depth and tone. Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity featuring a signature and edition number. Limited edition of 25 40 x 60 inches Other sizes available, please contact * Please note that images of the artwork in situ and framed are an indication of how the piece can look, and in the context of other artworks. The artwork is being sold unframed. Framing options are available, please contact. ________________________________ About The Artist Sophia Milligan...
