Marion Stern took over the business in 1978 and still oversees the Francoise Montague workshop in Paris. The company pared down its staff considerably during the 1990s. It rebounded in the 2000s by adding many new designs to its couture jewelry portfolio and building on old standards by creating pieces made using multiple foxtail chains in a fringe fashion.
