A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver wine cooler made by Henry Chawner; an addition to our antique wine and drink related silverware collection This magnificent antique George III sterling silver wine cooler has a circular rounded form onto a shaped circular spreading foot. The surface of the cooler is embellished with exceptional chased floral and scrolling foliate decoration, all on a matte background. The decoration to the body incorporates a large scroll bordered cartouche to either side, each ornamented with a contemporary engraved coat of arms depicting firstly a chevron charged with three lions passant guardant, secondly in chief three cross-crosslet and to the base a lion passant. This antique wine cooler is fitted with an exceptional pair of cast silver handles realistically modelled in the form of an eagle with raised wings, perched on a large scrolling leaf design. This impressive cooler is supported by a cast circular shaped spreading foot embellished with further floral and foliate decoration, accented with a large scrolling border to the rim. This exceptional Georgian wine cooler retains the original, hallmarked detachable liner and push fit cover. The cast sterling silver torus-shaped cover is ornamented with large floral and foliate designs, with an opposing scrolling border paralleling the shaped rim. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Charles II English sterling silver porringer; part of our collectable silverware collection. This exceptional antique Charles II sterling silver porringer has a circular rounded form onto a collet base. The surface of the porringer is embellished with an impressive chased hunting hound to one side and a stag to the other, all amidst large foliate designs and incorporating pinstruck swirl designs. This English silver porringer is fitted with two impressive cast, leaf decorated S-scroll handles with elevated figural shaped thumbpieces. Note: After surviving the Great Fire of London the records at the London Assay office were destroyed by fire in 1681; their catalogues and documentation began again in 1697. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver cup & cover; an addition to our antique presentation silverware collection. This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation cup & cover has a campania shaped form onto a circular spreading pedestal foot. The lower bulbous portion of body is encircled with chased fluted ornamentation. Either side of the plain upper portion of the body of this cup is embellished with an exceptional and large applied ribbon tied laurel branch wreath, replicating the border of a Classic cartouche. This impressive presentation cup retains the original hallmarked cover surmounted with an exceptional, Fine and impressive sterling silver overlapping leaf, bead and bud style finial. The rim of the cover is encompassed with an impressive applied egg and dart decorated border. This antique cup and cover is fitted with two very impressive handles modelled in the form of conjoined snakes, above a figural mask and Caduceus*. The pedestal is encompassed with a shaped leaf decorated knop to the upper portion in junction with the body.
