A very attractive African teak freestanding drinks cabinet designed by Richard Hornby in the mid-to-late 1950s for the English company Fyne Ladye Furniture. Richard Hornby was an extremely successful designer with his own recognisable style - simple, elegant and clean. This beautifully built cabinet has the classic Hornby cut out handles and delicately tapered legs. Two doors open to reveal a Mica laminate base for bottles and drink preparation (32.5cm in height), and a shelf for glasses (15cm in height). The piece is very clean, and solid in structure.
