George Herms Art
American, b. 1935
A pioneer of assemblage sculpture who came of age as an artist at the heart of the Beat Generation, George Herms transforms discarded, mundane objects into poetic sculptures that exemplify the Beat aesthetic of open, free-form association. Herms likens his works to jazz, claiming: “The feeling I get when leaving a jazz club is how I want people to feel when they leave an exhibition of mine.” Like a jazz riff, Allen Ginsberg’s poetry, or Jack Kerouac’s stream-of-consciousness novel On the Road, Herms’s sculptures are both loose and exquisitely structured. In Faucet (1995), for example, he builds a small tower out of various scraps of wood and metal, topped with an old, rusted faucet, creating an effectively coherent whole out of discordant parts.
His art is in the collections of museums such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA)to

Extra-large Post-War Inspired Structured Metal Assemblage From Late 20th Century
Located in Frederiksberg C, DK
Presenting an extraordinary and commanding work of art, an extra-large metal assemblage in post-war style which truly makes a statement. The patinated metal objects create a rich, darkened and golden metallic nuances that are deep and saturated. The physical three-dimensionality arising from the of the metal assemblage further enriches the overall depth, creating an intensely dramatic and captivating visual experience.
Due to its size and volume this piece is both remarkable and rare, and will without a doubt stand out in any interior. Within the assemblage, a diverse array of scrap metal objects and plates of varying sizes and forms coexist alongside intriguing remnants, including a leather sole, large leather straps, fragments of a robe, and vintage nails...

American Surrealist pipes and playing cards spirit of Magritte abstract Montage
By Charles Green Shaw
Located in Norwich, GB
I love this extraordinary American surrealist piece - a collage/montage, an assembly of objects in a velvet-clad box/frame - for a number of reasons reasons.
I love the fact that it depicts pipes, among the most iconic images of the surrealist movement, rooted in Magritte’s famous 1929 painting which depicts a pipe accompanied by the caption “Ceci n'est pas une pipe” (This is not a pipe). Marcel Duchamp loved using pipes...
