The back of the pig incorporates a hallmarked hinged cover with a textured match striker to the anterior surface.
The interior of the cover of this exceptional silver box is gilded.

This antique Edwardian vesta case is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks including the foreign manufacture mark struck to the underside of the body are very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
