Antique late 19th century Russian solid silver and enamel large wine jug, of baluster form, standing on a shaped spreading foot, applied with a scroll handle, the body engraved with Scandinavian inspired (Ringerike Style), this style later become popular in England and especially Ireland (Celtic style). The body enamelled with turquoise enamel on wirework floral scrolls and white beaded boarders. The workmanship is remnant of and probably inspired by a renowned Norwegian silversmiths David Andersen.
