Keith Haring Public Illumination 1981: A rare, highly collectible small pamphlet-style art magazine (measuring 4.25 x 2.75 inches), featuring a centerfold spread illustrated by Keith Haring, playfully credited under the moniker "Kip Herring." The illustrations include some of Haring's signature early motifs including dogs, crawling babies, and figures in varying sexual positions. In this 1984 version of Eastman's "Three Ribbon Heads", a delicate flowing line drawing of three consecutive women's faces in profile are framed by ribbons in a circular composition. As in many of the artist's works, Eastman captions the piece with the following phrase: " In this life we have three lasting qualities...faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of them is love."
