Henry King Taylor Art
Henry King Taylor was a marine and coastal scene painter who lived in London. Taylor exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1859–64 with titles including The Passing Storm, The Ramsgate Lifeboat and Dutch Shipping. Taylor also exhibited at the British Institution from 1857–69 as well as at Suffolk Street. He lived at several London addresses and traveled around the country painting ships and fishing boats off the coast. Taylor also visited Jersey and Holland. His affinity with the sea and its moods show in his subject matter and his paintings often feature rocky coastlines and choppy seas, some including castles or fortresses. One of his paintings is held by the Darlington Library.
