By Howard and Sons, Howard & Sons Ltd
Located in West Sussex, Pulborough
We are delighted to offer for sale 1 of 2 really very nice and highly collectable Howard & Son’s Berner street Library revolving bookcase tables.
As mentioned I have two of these, this one is a three tier with 12 book sections, its tall and narrow, the other which is listed under my other items is exactly the same however it has two levels not three like this one and its wider.
Other than the two I own, I have never seen one of these made by Howard before, it is mid Victorian circa 1870, its mahogany, based on a Regency design of course. This piece screams fine English furniture like nothing else, this is a connoisseur’s piece. The table has the wonderful original Howard label inside, its also stamped to the base Howard & Son's Berners street and then another stamp with the order number...

Stamps and labels varied over time but usually featured the maker's name. If the original parts of your Howard Miller grandfather clock have been replaced or repaired, this will also be a factor in determining its value. Because there is a range of aspects that can affect the value of your grandfather clock or any other antique, it's typically a good idea to have a certified appraiser or experienced antiques dealer evaluate a clock. An expert can properly assess the condition of your clock and likely give you a clear picture of how much it's worth.
