This is an absolute master class of carving from every angle, made as mentioned after the original kettle stands by Thomas Chippendale, those naturally sell in the hundreds of thousands. This one was made by the world famous Howard & Son's, before Howard became known as makers of the most comfortable seating in the world, they were cabinet makers producing some exquisite pieces that in the day were on pare with Gillow's In terms of the condition the timber has a lovely original patina, my French polisher has restored the table, he has basically washed it back to remove the years of dirt and bring out the amazing original colour, being sure that all the period patina remains, the table has then been lightly French polished, the end result is a gallery perfect piece Dimensions Height:- 50.5cm Width:- 36.5cm Depth:- 36.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
