This 37-inch high by 72-inch artwork is a hand-embellished giclee on canvas. Hand-embellishment involves the application of additional paint or other materials onto the surface of the giclee print by the artist. Bringing forth inspiration from her varied experiences Tova is inspired by the layers of her life's experiences. From the lavishly gilded architecture of her early years to the vibrant palette of New Orleans, Tova now works in San Fransisco where themes of her work draw from technology and the Information Era.
Kate has earned awards and critical acclaim participating in art exhibitions in Vienna, Berlin, New York, Prague and other cities around the world. Tova’s commissions have ranged from ceiling and wall murals in Moscow restaurants to live painting performances at fundraisers and venues such as the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. Her art has appeared on the covers of foreign music records, been published in international magazines, and even inspired a jewelry collection.

This is a textile wall hanging tapestry "painting" made from vintage jeans.
JJ had a masters (MFA) from Prat and studied at Hunter college for many years. He was a master jeweler and goldsmith for 50 years, a musician and a photographer. He made a living working with photography, jewelry, bronze sculpture and antique restoration. An artwork in denim fabric by a French Post War & Contemporary artist living in New York City, Jean de la Verrière, An untrained, art brut, 'outsider' artist, now 85. He sold some of his denim patriotic flag works through OK Harris gallery in Soho in the 1980s, one went directly to Ralph Lauren, according to the artist. He is also known for sculpture. particularly his working model, fully functional guillotine sculptures. Artist says he was influenced by Pop Art particularly Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns works. He was in the New York art world along with his artist friends Bernar Venet, Arman and Claude Gillie. He fabricated and cast jewelry for some of his friends. This has a Sterling Ruby feel to it but was done a generation earlier. Butterflies began to appear in unexplainable ways after his passing, the artist later discovered that Butterflies represent spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope, and life - she goes on to say: "The butterfly series draws inspiration from Rivera's quote 'Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can.'"
