Klara VLASOVA (Mosca 1926 – 2022)
Klara Filippovna Vlasova è nata a Mosca nel 1926. Intraprende gli studi artistici giovanissima, vincendo il suo primo premio ad un concorso di disegno a 11 anni. Nel 1939 prosegue gli studi presso la Scuola d’Arte, di recente fondazione, di Mosca. Nel 1941 la scuola e i suoi studenti vengono trasferiti nel villaggio Voskresenskoe, in Bashkiria. Rientrata a Mosca nel 1943, completa rapidamente gli studi e nel 1944 viene ammessa all’Istituto Surikov di Mosca, dove frequenta i corsi del celebre Gerasimov e si diploma nel 1950. Invitata a lavorare al murale del padiglione “Tagikistan” del centro espositivo VDNKh, Vlasova viaggia attraverso quel territorio per catturarne impressioni e atmosfere e tradurle in schizzi. Da quel momento l’Asia centrale diventa uno dei suoi soggetti preferiti e una continua fonte di ispirazione. Il Daghestan è un altro dei luoghi speciali per l’artista (tanto da essere insignita del titolo di “Artista Nazionale del Daghestan”), in particolare l’amatissimo villaggio Choh, dove trascorre le estati dipingendo, pur sentendosi lei appartenente e rappresentante della Scuola d’Arte di Mosca.
