Lawrence Self Art
Lawrence J. Self was born at Sutton, Surrey on January 27, 1924. He completed his artistic training at the Royal College of Art. He moved to Suffolk in 1957 and landscape became the predominant theme in his work. He exhibited widely and repeatedly at the Royal Academy of Arts and his work is held in many public and private collections including the Ipswich Museums Collection and the Essex Art Gallery. Lawrence Self died at the West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds on December 28, 2001.
