Louis Auguste Joseph Bertrand was born in Rodez (Aveyron), a pupil of Thomas and Injalbert, first exhibited at the salon of 1893 and continued to do so until 1925, when he became a member of the Societe des Artistes Francais and was no longer eligible. Bertrand's three works are included in the collection of Musee Denys-Puech, Rodez.
