Marion Halo Dwyer was born in New Jersey, lived in New York City and Yonkers, New York, before moving to Bristol, Maine, in 1967. Dwyer graduated from Hunter College in New York with a degree in Theater and Music. Later, Dwyer studied with Jacques Lipchitz and William Zorach. In Maine, Dwyer taught school and was a member of the Friends Midcoast Meeting. Dwyer died in Maine in 1994.
