A fine and unusual pair of antique English sterling silver and cut glass candlesticks in the Corinthian style; part of our ornamental silverware collection. These fine antique Victorian English sterling silver and cut glass candlesticks are crafted in the Corinthian style. The Corinthian capital of each candlestick retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit sconce ornamented with a bead decorated border. Each Victorian candlestick has an unusual cut glass column onto a circular sterling silver collet setting and bead bordered square swept spreading base. The base is ornamented with a fine and impressive applied belt and buckle bordered crest of an arm couped at the shoulder in a maunch, embowed in fess, the elbow resting on the wreath below the motto ‘Fidem Servo’, I keep faith.
