Gabbiano 2 suspension pendant designed by Mauro Marzollo for Itre Italia. Handblown opaque white Murano glass dish with black trim. Embossed lacquered anthracite metal diffuser. Suspended from a thin steel cable and a black power cord. Takes a single 300 watt halogen bulb.
Mauro Marzollo was born in Venice. After finishing his studies, he began working as a designer on Murano, where he learned the most refined glass-making techniques, which became important tools for his professional development marked by many achievements.
Marzollo subsequently filled the role of head of the Research and Design Department at "Lumenform", where he came into contact with leading Italian designers such as Marco Zanuso, Angelo Mangiarotti, Cesare Leonardi, Claudio Salocchi and Ennio Chiggio.
After becoming freelance, in 1980 he began collaborating with Itre, which put him in charge of the Research and Design Department and product engineering.
