Nathalie Grall Art
Nathalie Grall studied at the Institute of Visual Arts of Orleans after which she returned to the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She currently teaches at the Palace of Fine Arts in Lille. Grall prefers working with burin and engraving. She does not draw from nature. Grall says that her work is often located somewhere between figuration and abstraction, where chance and imagination have their place. This creates a more poetic picture of the world which, for her, remains an enigma. While the prints in her work are seemingly faithful botanical portraits, they are all imaginary creations.
