Nelda Gilliam Art
Nelda Gilliam paints, draws and does small sculptures and installations. She was born in a small Texas town and studied fine art at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas and the Alfred C. Glassell School of Art in Houston, Texas. In 1993 she moved to Saudi Arabia, making art with the limited supplies she could find. She moved to Dubai in 1998, once again relying on what she could find in the local markets and bazaars to continue to create. She currently serves as the director of Gallery 76 at the Dubai International Art Center and serves as a Board Member.

Graduated from Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 2000. She studied painting at prof. Krzysztof Wachowiak`s atelier, photography under the guidance of prof. Rosław Szaybo. After graduation she worked for several years as a graphic designer and photographer. In 2005 she returned to painting with the exhibition of watercolor paintings "Flowers". Her works are in collections around the world in: Poland, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Luxemburg, Switzerland and Singapore. She paints realistic and abstract paintings with the technique of acrylics paint and collages.
