Oleta Naomi Bode was born in 1914. She was a talented artist and enjoyed an oil painting career that spanned nearly 40 years. A Santa Cruz Art League exhibitor, Oleta studied with professor Hans Schuler of the Schuler School of Art, Washington. D. C.
