Vintage Industrial Metal Floor Lamp Komet 1557 from Kosta Lampan, 1970s
By Per Sundstedt
Located in Warszawa, Mazowieckie
This Komet 1557 floor lamp was designed by Per Sundstedt for the Swedish manufacture Kosta Lampan AB during the 1970s. This lamp is made of metal: chrome-plated and black. Per Sundstedt is considered one of Sweden's most creative lighting designers. He graduated from Konstfack in Stockholm in 1964. His diploma thesis was a bedside lamp with mechanical dimming, which he called Candela 1. Upon graduation, he was awarded the silver medal of the Swedish Crafts Association, which was considered the greatest award a student could receive. He got a job at Lampan (later Kosta Lampan, acquired by AB Fagerhult...
