A very clever design dating back to the 1950s, this Poul Knudsen teak and brass nutcracker utilizes a piece of bent brass that acts as a spring mechanism making it possible to crack an entire bowl of nuts in under 2 minutes (we know, because we tried). You don’t need to reset after demolishing each shell, the spring action of the brass strip, attached to the teak arms, returns the piece to its resting position, ready to destroy whatever comes in its path next.
