Only a single example of the Unica vases was produced,
which was hand painted by a master painter.
The vase is not only special due to its decor, but also due to its tall length and handmade form.

Gouda Pottery
Founded in Gouda in 1898, Royal Pottery Gouda became one of the Netherlands’ best-known pottery manufacturers. The factory was especially renowned for its Art Nouveau pottery, with elegant floral motifs and richly decorative designs.
In 1930, the factory received the designation “Royal” . Over the following decades, its style evolved from highly decorative Art Nouveau pieces to matte-glazed pottery and more modern designs.
The factory faced difficult times during the economic crisis of the 1930s and the Second World War. Although decorative production resumed in the early 1950s, increasing industrialization made traditional handcrafted pottery increasingly difficult to sustain.
