A pair of Greco-Roman style vintage bronze young satyr candle holders from the mid 20th century, holding circular vessels. Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire perdue) which allows for great precision and finesse in the details, this pair of bronze candle holders features two young satyrs with goat legs and floral garlands wrapped around their waist, raising their arms to hold a vessel. Often associated with Bacchus, god of grape-harvest, they are likely carrying wine-filled vessels.
