Sam Peacock Art

English
Sam Peacock has worked professionally as a painter since 2007, graduated from Coventry University in 1998 with a BA in Fine arts. Inspired by rural and coastal landscapes, Sam Peacock has challenged the traditional notion of landscape painting in every aspect of his work. Peacocks, unique interpretation of landscape painting involves the use of non-traditional oil base paints, varnishes, coffee grains and a variety of raw materials, all composed on a sheet of steel. Colour, being a major aspect of the work is inspired by the colours of the land itself with each pallet being created from one specific location. Experimenting with the balance of colour and light on steel over the last 30 years and exchanging the traditional paintbrush for a roller and a blow torch, Peacock’s unique take on art has propelled Peacocks’ career, making him one of the most sought after contemporary landscape artists of our time. Peacocks portfolio ranges from independent gallery shows to large scale art installations for prestigious hotels and extensive interior design projects. Last year his art made its debut as a public installation piece, commissioned by Islington council, in central London. The commission stand 8 meters tall cladding brick work with steel and colour, letting the light reflect of the surface of the steel and providing an ever changing landscape using light as a medium to explore. Other notable works can be seen in the Novotel, Canary Wharf where Peacock created his largest art work to date, spanning over 62 square meters of wall and using just over half a tonne of steel. This permanent wall covering, and installation piece completely immerses you in the rural and man-made landscape projections of Peacocks world. Each in-situ project is carefully crafted with on-site visits taking place to examine the space, explore light sources and how the works can transform the area.

Landscapes I - Oversized Large, Vivid Pastel Abstract Original Painting
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Khoury's art is characterized by her masterful use of vivid fluorescent colors, dark tones, and high-contrast compositions that are both striking and visually compelling. She employs a variety of techniques, including thick and thin brushstrokes, to create a sense of depth and texture in her work. To balance the roughness of the canvas, which is treated with sand prior to starting each piece, Sally incorporates pastels, which add a softness to the overall texture of the painting. The sand is evenly sprinkled across the surface, giving each piece a unique and distinct texture. This large, fluorescent, colorful 59-inch high by 108-inch wide triptych painting is an acrylic paint composition on canvas with pastels, spray paint, and sand. Each segment measures 59 inches high by 36 inches wide. This abstract artwork is signed by the artist on the front of the artwork. The sides are a continuation of the painting and it does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Convenient U.S. and global shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Khoury's series of abstract paintings is a celebration of her connection to her parent's native language and the Arab world she grew up in. Through the incorporation of elements of Arabic writing, Khoury infuses her work with a unique charm and energy that captivates the viewer. The curves and lines that make up the language are emphasized and transformed into vibrant, colorful patterns that represent a mix of emotions and memories. Each painting is a visual representation of the sense of belonging that Khoury feels through the language and culture of her upbringing. Khoury begins her creative process by using pastels, spray paint, and acrylics to create scratches and marks on the canvas. As she works, she draws inspiration from Arabic words and phrases, using them to guide the direction of her strokes. Before the paint dries, Khoury scrapes it off, pulling it downwards towards the end of the canvas. To complete the composition, Khoury adds solid colors and meticulously placed drips of paint, which give the painting a sense of movement and depth. The result is a series of captivating abstract paintings that showcase Khoury's talent as an artist and her unique artistic vision. Khoury was born in Ohio following her family’s emigration from Lebanon. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Saudi Arabia, where she stayed until she was 14. Sally then attended high school and college in Beirut, where she graduated with a BA in Fine Arts with distinction from the Lebanese American University of Beirut. In 2013, she moved back to the United States and settled in California. She recently relocated to Qatar. Her paintings have been featured in group and solo shows in Beirut, Dubai, Italy, and the USA. Sculptural topographical elements protrude beyond the smoother parts of the artwork. Victoria Kovalenchikova’s abstract artworks are an outlook at the transformation of the world surrounding us; a shout in the cold infinity of cosmos. It is an attempt to understand the impact of people on the planet through the language of art. Using google images to explore the Earth in its entirety, she plays with angles and textures to create works that appreciate and bring attention to the uniqueness of our planet. Her series on the world is immediately familiar, provoking us to step closer and have a better look, then after a few moments the nuances of her art appear. Her training is evident in her skillful application of textures, provoking a harmonious juxtaposition of elements that humbles our approach to the earth. Kovalenchikova states, “Although we humans may feel like disconnected, independent fragments, Earth reminds us that we are all united on this place: notes within a larger symphony of life. No different from the massive whale in the ocean or the tiniest needle of a pine tree. There is no way out; to save ourselves we must save our home” Kovalenchikova's works can be found in private and corporate art collections and museums worldwide; select institutions include the Museum of Russian Art in Jersey City, the Museum of Belarusian State Academy of Arts, the Contemporary Fine Art Museum in Belarus, the Romanov Regional Study of Local Lore Museum, the Belarusian Embassy in Germany and the Netherlands, and other international private collections.
